Camera Artistry For Challenging Boundaries
I have to be honest here. (And I hope you’ll be okay with that.)
Sometimes I wonder about people’s motivations when they say they love my blog. This isn’t because I don’t think I produce good content. It’s because I know where these people live, and I can see in my analytics if anyone from that place has visited my website.
For this reason, I’m pretty confident that they say that they like my blog and what I publish on social media because they like the images they see.
This has made me convinced that incorporating into this blog what I know about visual literacy and photography is something that I should do. So I’ll start with this post.
A long pattern to my own photography is that I’ll be overwhelmed with creativity when I’m traveling abroad. I’ll make a flurry of photos in a month-long period. Then when I’m back at home, I get weighed down by the ins and outs of daily life and my creativity will dry up.
I shared this problem with a photographer friend. She replied back that I should be able to make interesting photos wherever I am.
I thought “Yes… but…”
Well, in order to back up her statement, she shared with me a B & H Photo Talk by Jerry Ghionis, titled In Camera Artistry: Using Any Light Source.
