Case Study: Crafty Problem Solving
Sometimes you meet people that have a similar professional path as you. And when this happens to me, I get very excited about what may be possible.
Joan Mena and I used to work together years ago. Then later, we started our own businesses the same year. He leveraged his polyglot skills and I doubled down on my experience in marketing and branding.
After aiming to do his own marketing himself for a year, he came to me for help.
I first gave him a “StoryFind” interview so that I could identify a storytelling framework to apply to his brand. I then analyzed his answers to my questions to identify the philosophical world values to root his brand and find an emotional pull communication framework that he could use in his copywriting.
From there, I recommended a marketing roadmap that he could apply himself or that I could help him with.
Well, a few things happened next.
I ended up circling back with him a month later with an idea that I wish I’d thought of earlier.
I had realized that so many of my clients needed websites. And they needed help (1) choosing the tech, (2) setting up the tech, (3) figuring out what to write, (4) deciding on what visuals to use.
