Case Study: Experience Pays Off
In recent months I’ve become involved with a few organizations to work toward a more equitable U.S. society.
One organization is SAAVETX, South Asian American Voter Empowerment for Texas.
When the leaders of the organization met me, they said that my skills could be best used in helping them with digital marketing. Primarily with email marketing and the website design.
As I was on a call with Chanda, the organization president, she mentioned to me previous work that had been done on the website.
I took a look at the site and thought of my years of experience designing websites for 1–9 person service businesses. I also thought of the Your Clarifying Website course I’d recently sold to a few one-person business owners.
This experience gave me a framework that allowed me to make quick and efficient recommendations to the SAAVETX website.
In a 15-minute recorded call, I made recommendations for the (1) homepage, (2) services page, (3) about page, and (4) a blog.
A week later I checked the site again, and it looked so much better.
