Business Networking As An INFJ

It’s so lovely how uncomfortable circumstances can lead to fruitful outcomes.

Nearly a year ago, I had a conversation with an insensitive person who I met at a networking event. Then a quiet bystander found me later and commented on what he overheard. He then suggested that I look into my own personality type so that I could effectively leverage my strengths in my business.

This led to a series of events where I learned that I’m an INFJ according to the Myers Briggs personality test. I talk more about all that I learned as a result of that one networking conversation in my blog post in collaborating with The INF Club.

One guest feature was on The Quiet Ones podcast. I informally chatted with Sarah Kuhn about my experiences being an introverted and sensitive entrepreneur: Business Networking as an INFJ

Sarah has since repurposed snippets of my interview on other episodes that she’s done. Two snippets that stand out are (1) when I talk (toward the end) about the success I’ve had with networking on LinkedIn. I describe that process in this post: Networking Sucks, Do This Instead. (2) How I draw strength to go through difficult times by thinking about all that my great-grandparents sacrificed for future generations. I talk about that in this post: Finding Your Courage By Digging Into Your Past.
