When I decided to pivot my career back to working in marketing, after working in education for nearly a decade, my first focus was on community management. It was easy for me to pivot from shaping young mind to get allow with diverse populations, to connecting people together for their own professional development.

In some ways, I haven’t strayed far from this. I recently started offering a e-book an Authentically Connecting With People You Don’t Know (Yet). And I also recently launched a course on how to find Your Unshakable Brand Story so you can authentically connect with your audience.

This is why I am proud to share two blog post that I wrote while I was the community manager for Nearpod, and ed tech startup:

When I worked there, the company was focused on growth, over everything else. I personally saw my job and supporting our users so that they would organically want to tell others about our product. I also aimed to bring in some of the energy that I liked when I participated in the Buffer Community. This is why when you check out these posts, you’ll see that I focus on spotlighting individual clients and suggesting strategies that clients could use to network with each other and in ways that would help them reach their own professional goals.
