You may feel like you are drowning when you look at the endless stream of content that your larger competitors push out on social media.

You feel like you can’t compete, so you don’t leverage social media marketing, and focus your efforts on other channels.

When you do this, you miss out on valuable opportunities to stay in front of potential clients and start a conversation when they are ready for more information.

So, what if you re-positioned how you see social media’s role in your business?

Think of the medium’s role as an educator for what critical role your product or service has.

Below I look at why you should do this, and what may come as a result.

Build Trust in The Introductory Period

Think of an influential teacher that you had when you were growing up.

The first weeks that you were in his class, you did not have to believe what he was saying. You did not have to trust that he was working in your best interest.

But through showing you and your classmates that he could guide you to think more critically and work better with others, this favorite teacher earned your trust.
