You Can’t Beat Us, We’re Stronger Together
How are things going for you these days?
I know for myself, Covid-19 just got a lot more real. My cousin was diagnosed with the virus yesterday. He’s now on a respirator in the ICU in Chicago.
My friend’s uncle has the virus in Mexico.
One of my mastermind colleagues knows someone who knows someone who passed away from the virus in The Netherlands.
I’m searching for a silver lining in all of this. Anxiety and fear cannot win.
One of the best outcomes so far has been the refocus on human connection. Before we went into quarantine, I’d already been focusing on the importance of human connection in my life.
I wrote one blog post about connecting with real people on LinkedIn. A bit later I wrote about making authentic connections in Facebook groups.
I’ve also been staying in closer contact with friends, family, and colleagues this year. In the past two weeks, this connection process has gone into overdrive.
I wonder what you’ve been doing? Are you commenting more on Facebook posts? You texting your loved ones to see how they are doing? Are you calling them? Are you video chatting?
