Format Your Blog to Maximize Lead Generation

Microsoft published a study that found that between the years 2000 and 2015, the average attention span of an adult dropped by four seconds.

So, what can a blogger do to maximize the potential amount of leads from any one blog post?

This post looks at seven indicators you can use to make sure that your hard-earned blog posts are optimized for lead generation.

(1) Write A Compelling Headline

The headline for your post is the first impression that you have with your reader. And it may be the only impression that you have.

It’s a well-referenced stat in marketing circles that only 80% of readers will look at your headline… but only 20% will read the rest of the post.

This is why you need to reel in readers with headlines that catch their attention.

(2) Give A Trust Indicator

You need to give people a reason to continue to read your post. This is why you need to give a trust indicator.

One way to do this is with a strategically placed recommendation or testimonial. You can also give examples and statistics to support your claims.
